Research

I am a biotechnologist who is committed to apply molecular and genetic technology in marine research in order to answer important applied questions and to develop ecological theory. My focus is not only on the dynamics of fisheries and swiflet biodiversity, especially giant clam, snail but also on conotoxin. My current interests include developing markers in researching marine organism’s population, applying ezRAD for genomic genotyping in Borneo threadfin Polynemus melanochir (Bleeker, 1852) involved in Peer project. The research results will support the information needs for management of fishery operations, marine biodiversity and conservation.
