From 18 to 25 September 2017, 4 officers and students from Ubon Rachathani University, Thailand and Inland Fisheries Research and Development Institute, Cambodia participated in a training course on Next Generation Sequencing at the Institute of Biotechnology and Environment, Nha Trang University.
During this time, four officers and students including Srisawat Khanthong, Chantamart Chueakaew, Sophorn Uy and Chhuoy Samol will be trained in EzRAD technology of next generation sequencing technology under the guidance of Dr. Dang Thuy Binh. Students will conduct experiments with researchers and students from the Biodiversity and Conservation research group. Students will also conduct field trips at fishing ports and fish markets.
This is a joint activity under the PEER project between Vietnam and the Lower Mekong Basin countries, contributing to the expansion of cooperation; At the same time, it helps students improve their foreign language skills, experiment and teamwork.
