On 04/26/2014, Institute for Biotechnology and Environment organized a conferenc on "Biotechnology and applications inmarrine research". Attending the conference were officials Institute staff, graduate students and undergraduate students of Biotechnology and Ellen Biesack from Old Domonion University, USA.

Dr. Ngo Dang Nghia  gave the opening remarks, addressed the importance of academic activities as an active exchange of information, and the scientific research mission of the Institute.

The conference participants discussed the technical of next generation sequencing, barcoding of freshwater fish in the Mekong Delta, the peptides from marine and aquatic waste, application of microorganisms in anti-cancer therapies and techniques in treating degenerative muscle disease.

This is a scientific activity to exchange information, encourage staff to participate in the study and presented the results of scientific research, and enhance international cooperation in the field of scientific research.
