From 18-21 May 2016, 2016 Annual meeting of the Society of Taiwan Ichthyological and the Asian Society of Ichthyologists held in Taiwan. Attending the conference were 173 scientists from 15 countries such as Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, China, Cambodia, Laos, USA, Italy, and France).
The workshop included training on the next generation sequencing (NGS), 7 scientific sections includes Symposium of Fish Diversity of Mekong River System and field trips to the famous museums in Taiwan.
Group members of Biodiversity and Conservation, Institute for Biotechnology and Environment, Nha Trang University participated in training on NGS, and have two oral presentations, and one poster presentation at the Symposium of Fish Diversity of Mekong River System as folow
